"I can read your body like a blind man reads Braille." ~ pg. 32
My Series Sunday pick is Just One Night: Exposed, the second installment of the Just One Night trilogy by Kyra Davis. It turns out that what happened in Vegas, didn't stay in Vegas. The sexy encounter with a stranger turned into more than just one passionate night. Robert Dade is now Kasie's lover in the bedroom and her company's biggest client. Even more awkward, Kasie's fiancé found out about her infidelity and threatens to expose her. It seems Kasie's career and love life are not as separate as she'd like.
Part Two picks up exactly where Part One leaves off. We see the consequences of Kasie's choice. And oh, there are consequences! I had a vocal opinion throughout the entire book. I actually yelled out sayings like, "What a prick!" then "You asshat!" and finally "No! It can't end like this!" The story went down a path that I did not expect. It kept me turning the pages in curiosity. Without giving a spoiler, let's just say it is not your regular erotic tale. Mind games are played with a sinister spin.
"Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is power." ~ pg. 103
Once again, Kyra Davis has surprised me with her writing. This trilogy proves the author's versatility. I am looking forward to the conclusion Just One Night, Part 3: Binding Agreement on May 20. I can only imagine how this story will wrap up.
Just One Night, Part 2: Exposed will be available on March 18. Pre-order your eBook copy today for just $1.99.
