The Passenger

"I would never forget what I had done, the mistakes I had made, the innocent and guilty people I'd left in my wake." ~ 62%

Husband falls down the stairs; wife leaves him there. The next 48 hours are spent cashing in credit cards, altering her physical appearance and fleeing town. This is not the first time she's done this. Tanya Pitts, Tanya Dubois, Amelia Keen, Debra Maze and Sonia Lubovich are the same person. Yes, the main character in The Passenger changes identities like panties.

She meets Blue, a female bartender who immediately recognizes the fugitive look and false ID. It seems Blue is hiding out too. They become roommates and form an alliance. It's damn near impossible to live off the grid so Blue and Tanya-now-Amelia put a plan into action hopping city to city trying to outrun their pasts.

With every new alias, new escape and dangerous encounters, The Passenger kept my eyes glued to its pages. Psychological thriller it is indeed with a survival twist. The Passenger is told at the perfect pace: not too fast skipping details and not too slow where the storyline drags. It is the kind of novel where you know the outcome but so drawn into how it plays out. I am hoping for a sequel.

Lisa Lutz, you are now on my radar and I will definitely read more of your work; next up is your Spellman Files series.

Happy Pub Day to The Passenger!
