"I knew I could stay in this town when I found the blue enamel pot floating in the lake. The pot led me to the house, the house led me to the book, the book to the lawyer, the lawyer to the whorehouse, the whorehouse to science, and from science I joined the world."
~ Cleaning Nabokov's House: A Novel by Leslie Daniels
hello girly, how have you been this week. i cannot think of my password to my shelfari for nothing. i do hate to start over, all my books are there oh, on a computer i gave my nephew also. anyway, how's the chick lit reading going?
ReplyDeleteFirst lines make or break a book for me. This is a good one.
ReplyDeleteI tagged you Marie.. here is my post
Thanks for participating in FLF, Kavyen. Headed to check out yours now. First lines most certainly make or break a book. I ALWAYS read the first lines before purchasing or lending.
ReplyDeleteHey Sidne!
ReplyDeleteIt's been such a busy week. How was yours?
It would be such a chore to start Shelfari all over. Maybe you could import from Goodreads or another site. Also try resetting the password through security questions.
The chick lit reading is...um...not quite started yet. But it's only the 6th of May! I have all month to dive in and plan to soon.
Pass it along pls.
ReplyDeleteWill do, Chickadee. I just finished CLEANING NABOKOV'S HOUSE this morning and will post the review next week.
